About the event
Meet at 8 AM near the Trout Lodge Hatchery, at the Fish and Wildlife parking lot with the port-a-potty and viewing dock. We will be birding along Rocky Ford Creek. Bring your Discover Pass or WDFW parking pass. Be prepared for mosquitos, so long pants, long sleeves, bug spray. Also bring water, snacks, and a hat. All ages welcome. No dogs please. We plan to walk about 2 miles during the event. We will be standing, watching and listening for birds much of the time. A diversity of bird species is to be found; Swallows, Ducks, Pelicans, Kingbirds, Hawks and more!
Experienced birders will be along to assist in bird ID.
Trout Lodge Hatchery, 14969 Road B.5 NE Soap Lake WA
Take highway 17 from Moses Lake towards Soap Lake. Turn right onto Hatchery Rd NE. In 2 miles turn right onto Rd B.5 NE. Drive till you see the Fish and Game parking lot and dock.
